Nursing Services The nursing staff of Pleasant Ridge Manor consists of skilled and dedicated professional caregivers committed to responding to the individual needs of our residents twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. Our licensed and certified staff provide whatever is necessary to help each resident reach and maintain their optimal level of functioning. The nursing staff is skilled in administering hyperalimentation, intravenous therapy, gastroenteral feedings, oxygen therapy and special medications and treatments. The nursing staff coordinates a comprehensive assessment for every resident, which involves evaluation by the physician, nurse, social worker, dietitian, rehabilitation team, therapeutic recreation staff, and any other staff involved in the resident's care. This evaluation is used to develop and implement an individualized plan of care. The plan identifies specific needs and goals for the resident as well as approaches on how to meet those goals. Plans of care are reviewed in a regularly scheduled meeting, which residents and their families are encouraged to attend and participate. Residents and families provide valuable information and feedback in maintaining a plan of care that is appropriate and specific to each resident's individual needs. |
