The Pleasant Ridge Manor (PRM) Friends Forever organization was created and exists by the authority of the PRM Board of Trustees. The PRM Board of Trustees consists of seven members of the Erie County council, the Erie County Clerk, the Erie County Executive, and the Erie County Director of Finance. We are a non-profit 501 c (3) tax-exempt auxiliary organization with a volunteer based, 7 member Board of Directors.

Thank you for your interest in making a donation to our organization. There are many ways we use your tax-deductable monetary donations & memorials. We do not have employees; therefore, 100% of your donation directly benefits our residents. Here are some of the ways we are able to use your donations: The Pleasant Ridge Manor Friends Forever…

  • sponsor monthly bingo by providing monetary prizes to our resident winners
  • sponsor a fall dance and a Christmas party by paying for entertainment, decorations and refreshments for those events
  • provide funds for special community outings as determined and requested by the Activities Department
  • purchase Christmas gifts for each resident (average cost: $21 in 2013)
  • provide funds to maintain the aquariums in the Activities & Physical Therapy areas
  • provide funds for the overhead music heard in the PA system daily
  • provide funds for cable television in common areas and unit lounges
  • provide funds to publish, print and mail our monthly newsletters
  • provide funds to purchase flowers for corsages & boutonnieres for Mother’s & Father’s Day
  • provide funds to maintain and make available weekly snacks on our hospitality cart
  • purchase license for small games of chance (annual golf outing fundraiser)
  • purchase an annual membership to the Erie Community Foundation from which we are eligible to participate in their annual Erie Gives program, networking with other area non-profits, as well as other programs beneficial to area non-profits

The Friends also help PRM with special projects that improve our facility. In the past, those projects have included: the purchase of Nautilus fitness equipment for our Rehab Departments, gazebo and courtyard renovations, purchase of several resident transport vans, renovation of the Activities/OT kitchenette, Beauty Shop renovations and our most recent project: creating an internet café for our residents & visitors.
