New Guidance from the CDC Regarding Covid Testing and Visitation

When referencing the chart below, keep in mind that our current rate of spread from the website above is over 10%; this puts us in a "High (red)" level. This means we begin testing all un-vaccinated (and those vaccinated staff who choose to be tested) staff twice weekly and we continue to monitor our community infection rates. If the level of transmission increases to a higher level, we test at the higher activity levels as soon as possible. If the level decreases, we test at the higher frequency level until the level of transmission has remained at the lower level for at least 2 weeks before reducing testing frequency.

In addition to the change in testing frequency, the "High (red) level requires all in-person visitation to be suspended until further notice. We continue to provide unit based group activities and meals with no comingling with other units. Compassionate care visits will continue with prior approval from our Nursing Administration.

We continue to make the health and welfare of our residents and staff our priority. For further questions, please call Stacey Schnars, RN, Assistant Director of Nursing at (814) 474-5521, extension 102
