Veterans Day Celebration

We all dressed in R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) on Friday, November 7th to show our support for the troops that are deployed.  The morning of the 11th, all our veterans received a personal visit from our Activities Staff accompanied by a yummy breakfast donut from our local donut shop, H & K donuts (Westlake Road, Millcreek).  At 1400, we all attended a flag-folding ceremony in our dining room led by Dan Edder from Edder Funeral Home in Girard. Members of the Girard American Legion's Color Guard demonstrated the flag folding while Dan explained the origin and meaning of each fold.  The folded flag was then presented to our oldest, living veteran, Albert Pede, who turned 100 years old this summer.  The True Country Band made beautiful music for our party following the event. On behalf of everyone here at Pleasant Ridge Manor, we thank all the veterans for their service and continued efforts to keep peace and freedom.
