Well, this is an interesting story!

My parents were from England; my dad was born in Wales. We moved to Ontario, Canada where I I lived in St. Catherine's, I went to public school and when I graduated, I took a business course. I got a job making blue prints and worked at a shop that made automobile parts.
In my 20's, I met my husband at the shop where we worked. When it unionized, he was recruited to work at Willy's Jeep (later it became Kaiser Aluminum) in the United States so he moved here. They made airplane and military parts during the Korean War.
I needed to get a Visa in order to move to the U.S and in 6 months I arrived! One week later, I gave birth to my oldest son!
My husband and I had three more sons and a daughter; all were born here in Erie. In 1976, I became a United States Citizen! I had a wonderful husband who supported my staying home to take care of the children. Celia is shown here with her son, Jim.
Our residents, like Celia, all have very interesting stories. Won't you consider donating to the Friends Forever on Erie Gives Day, Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 so that the FF volunteers can continue providing great things for our residents?
